A few years ago, I was living in a small town in the mountains of central Oregon, just south of Seattle.
The area was small, sparsely populated, and sparsely built, and there wasn’t much to do besides shop, play pool, and have a picnic.
That’s all changed, however, as I’ve been slowly making friends with people who live far out in the far reaches of the sky, from outer space to Earth’s surface.
I’ve discovered that the people who have the most experience flying, land, and space have the best ideas about where to live, and they also have the highest expectations of the places they choose to live.
And that’s really good news for those of us living in the solar system and beyond.
Here are the best places to live for the next generation of spaceflight explorers.
